Hi all,
looking for some advise on how to remove the stains from the under bonnet insulation panel. any advise on products and methods that you have used with success is appreciated

I wouldn’t touch it, the material is so delicate, it will fall apart. Even if you hosed it, it could possibly damage the material. I just took mine off, even removing the tabs has damaged the material. I would look for a good second hand one or after market. Cheers |

I have actually painted one of mine in satin back from a rattle can.
I wiped it down with a damp rag (very gently mind you) firstly then hit with several light coats of paint. Make sure with each coat you come from a different direction. I did it about 6 months ago and it still looks great. Can post some pics tomorrow if need be. |

I agree black vinyl dye it will stay black for a while
Wouldn’t attempt to clean either just keep painting it black for the fresh look

Here is that pic of mine keeping in mind this was a hand me down from the XR8.
Taken today about 6 months after painting it with a rattle can...  It does look better in real life. It could probably do with another coat but it is under the bonnet and nobody sees it. |

An old detailers trick is to paint them with tyre black.
