I'm not against it as an option.
I have tap and go set up on my phone too, but still use the card more than anything.
I have had the phone not work on Tyro machines.

I'm surprised by the number of people who apparently live in places with no eftpos facilities. My town (800 or so people) only has one bank and it doesn't have an ATM, but the pubs all have ATMs in them (having cash in them can be a different story), and I can't think of a single shop that doesn't have eftpos. Maybe the little arts and crafts place. Never bought anything there.

But I have nfi what eftpos has to do with a digital licence.

In any case, my only concern would be how it works when there's no phone reception. I'm more likely to be pulled over driving between towns than in town, and at about 200km between here and the next town over, there's not much in the way of reception.

I'm sure that's taken care of though.

I think the license is downloaded into your phone so you can use it offline.

yep... and you may get asked to refresh it by pc plod by swiping down. I assume being rural they will expect it not to refresh.

What happens when you reply to txt like the one I got at 1:52 this morning saying my NAB account has been hacked?
Suppose if your silly enough to reply you may as well hand over all your personal information

Better your money be stolen online then cash stolen in person.

Credit cards and banks will refund due to fraud but not cash if stolen.

I was referring more to identity theft.
I don’t have any cash in my wallet or my bank so I’m not worried about that.
I use my smart phone for telecommunications and the odd picture, that’s all mobile phones are good for.
