Great to hear from you David and when your time comes up for retirement i'm sure that you will be looking forward to it,until then it's great to see that you are still in control of FPV.

I think Minge said it perfectly for all of us who have been lucky enough to spend time & talk with David over the years.
David has been nothing more than a dead set champion towards people form the car clubs, forums & general supporters of the blue oval.
I genuinely hope that the search for Davids replacement is as exhaustive as possible, as the last thing that is needed is a pencil pushing stooge as the head of the Ford GoFastShop™. Davids replacement needs to have a fire burning inside them that is white hot. This person must have an unrepentant desire to smash HSV into the weeds.
From here on in there must be a No Compromise attitude filtering through Glenbarry Rd.

The motto is Performance Inc™.. Time for the HO....

Had a few good chats with David over the years, right back to the EBGT days! and found him to be nothing but a complete gentleman. Have a great retirement and dont be a stranger..Cheers Steve.....

Spot on, Skirt Boy! The one thing that has always impressed me about the man is his attitude towards (and words regarding) HSV. :dj:

I can only hope whoever fills his (large) shoes, can wake up with the same attitude as he does!! :Reverend:

am i the only 1 confused.....in "happy jack"'s post, he refers to "david". If its supposed to be david flint, why is he talking about himself in the third person? or is there another david involved?

1 thing i think people should remember, and use for example, V8 Supercar drivers....when they are driving for holden, they dont like ford etc, and holden is the best....then they make the switch to ford, and suddenly ford is the best....they love ford etc.....

at the end of the day, they say what they say because they are paid to say it. it's their job.

if this guy were to be appointed at FPV, he would say similar things about HSV, and maybe he would produce a car capable of beating them, and i think thats what we need.....

I love ford, and the new cars are all great, but seriously, if they always show up 2nd best on paper, and thats where the majority of people are looking, then why cant ford do something similar to win those fans over, while still maintaining their other cars as the total performance package so to speak

Happy Jack is David Flint. I would listen to what he has to say & take it on board as gospel. Lord knows I've been lucky enough to (personally) know what he thinks of people who speak bollocks. To be polite... It isn't complementry!
David deserves the respect of everyone on this forum. I would hope that he would receive it..

i was fortunate to have David personally correspond with me over the most trivial of issues. anyone that high up in an organisation who is prepared to listen to a punter is worthy of a lot of respect. David even mentioned that the FPV site had included the RS2000 and he hoped i liked it. top stuff. thanks HJ.

Sorry if I read too much into AA's report David. It's good to know that you will leave on your own terms... as any true gentleman should be allowed to do.
