Default AU Upper Control Arms

These are advertised on ebay - but have a question

BAF-3044-B and BAF-3045-A is what these Guys are selling for a AU Sedan, The BAF-3044-B is a BA Ute arm, Ford Lists a BAF-3044-A for a AU Sedan - does any one know if they are the same even tho the part numbers are different ?

Any information would be helpful, thanx

Ok.

BAF 3044 A is the RH upper arm for a sedan or wagon
BAF 3044 B is the RH upper arm for a Ute
BAF 3044 C is the RH upper arm for the RTV ute

The BAF 3045 ? are the LH versions of the same thing.

Though I'll admit I still don't know which are which, I do prefer the beefier I-cross section version though, which ever one that is.

I do not know why utes are different to sedan/wagon. Yes utes have a longer wheelbase and perhaps should have different in-built caster, but so do wagons have a longer wheelbase but use the same as a sedan

I do know the RTV mounts to the body are different - to lower the arm/raise the ute (which ever way you prefer to think about it).

Thanx Raptor

So the BA Ute one appears to have a wider bush and bracket, can this be used on a AU Sedan ?

Hey, I'm no expert on these things.

But assuming the later design changes have been done for a good reason and in the other thread I mentioned it confirms some of the earlier ones are now absolute and can be replaced by the later ones.

I'd choose BAF... over BA... part numbers and the latest alpha designation.

So BAF-3044/5 D seems like the latest and greatest.

Why do you need to replace yours anyway? I also suspect they are all same enough to work AU - BA - BF as the structure they bolt to is unchanged.

Im not needing to replace im just thinking of buying a spare set for down the track for the T3 as these are now obsolete from Ford so i would like to grab a set why they are available and the price is reasonable as well for a Genuine Part but i just wanted to check that these are ok
