I think you've missed my point, when it was RAM making a case of the full sized ute the usual suspects rolled that out as an excuse as to why they'll never take off, if Ford offer the F150, those concerns will disappear overnight and it'll be the greatest thing to ever happen to Australia...

It's not a like-for-like product, but this would be about the only way to 1 up / neuter the Cruiser. Look what Ranger is doing to Hilux.

NYC on the other hand must have been fun. Bring on the 2500 and 3500 duallies.

compared to mid sized utes. We pointed out the possibility of a factory RHD F150 considerably lowering that price would definitely encourage more people to buy them. Not withstanding that, our local car parks are considerably narrower than ideal for these vehicles maybe even for later landcruiser station wagon and that for some people would be enough to kill any idea of owning one. Yes it would be great to see more affordable full sized pick ups here but we all agree that parking them in shopping centres is always challenging. If currency shifts and pricing continue, sales of Ram pick ups may start to dry up or buyers might be prepared to take a price hit and keep buying them, we just Don’t know. I was in a newer car park in Frankston a little while ago and my inlaws Skoda Octavia only just fit.
Anything much bigger would have a real pain. Not that would ever stop me from owning a particular vehicle. I suspect anyone who can put down $100k on a vehicle would also have a second car for shopping center duties.

I think maybe the problem all the Yanks will have will be parts availability compared to the Tundra, should Toyota start selling here. One reason why Toyota is so popular Aust wide is easily obtained parts.Another marketing tool for Toyota is their overall reliability, something which Americans can’t really boast about.Yanks seem to go for bells and whistles which aren’t always on the wishlist of a lot of buyers
