been having trouble trying to sort out a timing belt kit for a 2011 ford mondeo wagon , 2.0 duratorq diesel.
i sent the vin number of ( see pics) to a auto parts and they said : the VIN on our compat tool , but the MA Mondeo's with a 2.0 liter diesel engine with an MA series only goes up to 06 of 2009. The MB and MC series however runs between 05/2010 to 04/2015 but this has a D4204T7 diesel engine. confused.... on the id plate it says MA . does any body know whats goin on ? My 2011 MC diesel has the same 'category MA' and
'Mondeo 3' Could be the category MA bit has nothing to do with the vehicle series but some other business. Dunno. Ford part number for kit on mine was FO-9MQ 8A615 AA GATES kit with water pump for 2011 MC diesel was KP15672XS If you're doing yourself you need a flywheel locking tool and a pin for the camshaft sprocket. MA, MB, MC (2.0 diesel) Mondeo's all use the same timing belt kit. From 2007 on...
I sell the Optibelt kit out of Germany. The part number is KT1428. The belt is a T1603, which is 116T x 25.4. Just a warning that the water pumps do change through these models, despite running the same belt kit. |

MA is the vehicle classification for ADR rules. MA is defined as a passenger vehicle, like Focus, Fiesta, Mondeo, Falcon etc. Vehicles like Everest and Ranger which are passenger vehicles with off road capability are a MC classified vehicle. This is across all makes and models not just Ford.
Based on the VIN in the photos the correct Timing belt kit is 9M5Q 8A615 AA, there is also another kit which includes a water pump 9M5Q 8B596 AAK. |
