Aldi locks in fruit and veg pricing 12 months in advance, which can be a risk for the growers. You really need to see what their prices are 12 months from now.

Went to woolies on the way home (bloody IGA shut down), first time I’ve seen not one chocolate on special in the confectionary isle. Usually pick up something for the kids, whatever is on special but absolutely not a single chocky on special. No chocky for the kids hahaha

Noticed that too at woolies.

Coles on the other hand had quite a few specials on chocolate.

Expect the possibility for an even heavier round of shortages in the coming weeks. worse before it gets better.

I heard it on the grapevine.

Stock shortages? No.
Currently we are seeing better stock in stores than compared to the past couple weeks. Mainly due to people staying home, and restrictions stopping ppl from buying up.

What will happen though is when the government announces stage 3 lockdown, this is where we will see a lot more people out to get even more supplies. It will create low stock instores, but will go back to 'quiet' shortly after. This is what was seen when NZ did lockdown.

As for chocolates, best to get Easter chocolate as promotions heavier than normal due to the obvious.
