Default Flash tuning

Hey all I was thinking of getting a flash tuner for my ba xr8.
Has cold air intake 2.5 inch x-force exhaust with extractors.
Will a flash tune make a difference and which is best?
TIA

If you are going to tune, use PCMTec, you don't need a flash tuner.
Tunes are stored in your PCM (ECU) and can be changed on the fly.
I have four tunes in the PCM on my Ute, 91,E10(94), 95 & 98.

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

My understanding (may be wrong) is that a tune doesn't make a big difference to the 8. Still go for it if you want.

The Turbo though could get massive gains cheaply compared to the 8.

The BA 8s sound great.

Mate I'm only passing on what I remember being told (years ago when exploring tuning the BA-T.

It may well be that figure, but best to ask ratter or another pro to get the right (and more accurate) advice.

As Burnout said . PCM tech is loaded onto the factory ECU . There is no need for an extra tune box .
PCM has a lot of nice functions .

Your best bet would be to select a tuner you trust and they will give you more details
