Hi all,
I've been browsing through the various car sale sites on and off for awhile now looking for a nice well looked after XR8 or BF GT preferably and came across a very well looked after 05 BA XR8 stock 260 motor with a bit of bling in there it has a nice set of after market wheels paint and interior in very good nick. So to be fair lets just say the car's in mint condition what would be the most you would consider paying given it's a 15yr old car with I think it was under 145thou-klms. I know there will be a lot of depends on this & that but just a ball park figure. I know it's only a 260 in it but they're pretty tuff for what they are there are ways to wake them up a bit. Cheers |

They are quite affordable now. In the bit of the depreciation curve before the survivors start going up in value as the AUs have.

Thanks guys much appreciate.
I wasn't sure going by other same or similar car adds. Car value sites (Redbook etc.) and others are saying $7K - 16K max. Look I don't know if this will work or not but the relevant info is there Re: the AD ID so try this and see how you go. The way I went was to open www.carsales.com.au and enter the advert ID in this case it's (SSE-AD-6632385) in the 'keywords' search field in the bottom right where you first open up carsales site to key in your car preference. Once the AD no is in click on the bottom box with car amount showing and you should go straight to the Ad give it a shot and tell me what you think. I actually quite like it but I think it's a bit rich. Cheers |

Looks nice enough I suppose, Blue. I’m struggling with the price on all of them to be honest. Minimum is 10k. I paid 20k for mine when it was 4 years old. It seems people think they appreciating already.
Just checking this the one you are looking at. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...-6632385/?Cr=0

For me, has that car had it's Shockwave blue paint repaired? Also, I would be factoring in a new bonnet to rid it of that ridiculous shaker (I love shakers on XY's, not BA's) and a new set of factory wheels. Combine all three of those points and there would need to be a significant price reduction to make it worthwhile.

I'd pay over 10 for a mint one. They don't make then anymore and there only getting rarer.

Ahh NO. No more than 7K for one that's been pampered. Maybe 6K for a good one with 225 thousand on the odo.
