Default 2006 Focus airbag ECU question

G’, posted this elsewhere on the site before I found the Focus group.
My airbag ecu is stuffed, it’s a 4M5T 14B056 BF, it’s from a sedan.
I’ve located on , same part number, but finishes with BJ. Could be from a hatchback.
Are they interchangeable?
I know I’m going to have to get it reprogrammed to suit my car.
Abvice welcomed
Cheers
Paul

The service part number for the air bag module ECU is 9M5T 14B321 BB, no difference between sedan or hatch. The number you supplied must be an engineering number as it does not come up in the catalogue. BF-BJ would be ok.

Thanks for the quick reply. The 4M5T is the correct part as it matches other ECUs fitted to my model here in Australia and to those in the UK. I should have added more info... and it’s a 2005 mk2. I called it a2006 so not to confuse it with a mk1.
So it’s a RHD model.
Thanks again GT

The part number I listed advises it suits all LS LT & LV Focus from 1/10/2004 through to 2011. It could have superseded from the 4M5T number. The earlier LR Focus uses 2M5T 14B056 DE module.
