Default Help Needed

I just got home from a mates house who offered to put his AUII rims on my car for the All Ford Day. So we put the wheels on but there is a rubbing sound when im driving. Under acceleration there is no sounds or under brakes, but once i idle drive or when i drop under 1500 revs the rubbing sound begins.

Is this the tyre rubbing the guards and if so is there any way to fix it?. the rubbing only sounds like it's coming from the right rear.

Any help would be great.

WELLLLLLL, your main problem is that the AU offset is wayyy different to the Eseries offset. So the rubbing sound yoiu hear is the wheel rubbing on suspension components. One of your options would be to get wheels spacers, which are as far as i know, illegal.

So i pretty much got no options but to get em off straight away to avoid any damage, unless they are properly fitted?

Well these aren't an e-series offset cos he's got em on a FD LTD.

Yeh i think copies John

if they're not off an AU/BA originally, and they're copies.
then they should fit properly.
you'll be able to tell if they're sitting too far in.

lol
does he have the adaptors on his LTD?
he probably took the rims off the adaptors and then put the rims them on your car, leaving the adaptors on the LTD...
