Ford have done it again. Re engineered a perfectly well designed battery terminal into a piece of rubbish that only lasted 6 years. Does anyone know if the wedge and bolt on a 2014 territory negative battery terminal is available as a separated part or do you have to purchase the whole loom / replace with non genuine old school terminal.

You can drill out the whole wedge adjuster and put an m6 bolt and nut in it's place. Works like a normal terminal then.

Just go to jaycar and get a set of battery terminals. Its not that hard. I ran the gold ones with screw in cable terminals when i had multiple 'accessories' on a prior car and they were fine. Surely supercheap and repco also do terminals that dont need to be crimped also. Probably pay the bunnings tax on those, but still, if you dont like the factory design, change it.
