He won't answer that. Been asked many times and just ignores it. He's clearly a paid shill.

I think you're right. The posts are not joint together and he never answers a question directed to him. I just ignore his posts till he says what EV he has or if he has Solar.

Out of all the forums I've been on in my life, this one has to be the only one which has quite a few 'members' who post about very specific topic but will never reply to anyone and there is zero conversation or back and forth.

It's weird. It's like they are looking for keywords and then post a programmed input

If keyword
'Electric'=true
InputReply = "X, Y & Z"

Not sure why the mods allow bots/shills/spammers.

I'm on a few US sites and as soon as it becomes clear they have a paid agenda they are quickly banned.

I am a fan of EV. Don't own one, yet. I'm waiting to see what happens in the next couple years for EV's, and planning on owning an EV (not a Ford) by 2025. Been in and driven a few full EV's and I cannot dispute that this is the future for passenger cars.

But I agree ICE will continue to be produced for a long time to come, for commercial use. But for passenger cars, EV's will be the norm. How long before an EV is parked in every second driveway in Australia I'm not too sure about though. I'd guess 15 to 20 years time.

Do some basic google searches (entails other forums) and you’ll find out who and what he is!
It’s all in the original Tesla thread.....

As I have said before, if you can come to us with any sort of proof that he is a bot/scammer/shill I will gladly and promptly deal with it. Yes, I think he may be a shill but until I know for sure he won't be banned.

As pointed out above it appears that kmav23 is an actual person.

I'll answer that.

No one has 'told you off' for ridiculing him. If I remember correctly, the only PMs I have sent out or posted in these type of threads have been friendly requests to stop doing it.

Once again, until we have proof that he is a bot/spammer/shill he will be afforded the same treatment as anyone else on this forum.

Having said all of the above...

As some of you may see, I am starting to call him out on some of his posts. The next step will be if he doesn't start responding to any of my posts his posts will start being deleted until he answers those questions. If he then continues to post like a couple of the above then I will consider banning him.

It is a process, but leave it to the moderation team to sort out. If you all start 'picking on him' it will appear that we are ganging up on him and he will start complaining then us mods will have to deal with that. All I ask is that if you have any proof that he is a bot/spammer/shill or even any proof that he is not that you tell us.

Kmav23, I hope you are reading this.

It's a free society and people can post whatever they want, but it's pretty weird when people sign up to a discussion board to post extremely specific things and never engage in any discussions.

At least good old Sudszy would give you a bit of back and forth with his very specific agenda.

No I haven’t read Everest forums very often because I almost certainly would not buy one so why waste time reading about their problems ( which they seem to have a few of).

I am a fan of EV too.
After seeing how it drives, no noise or smell - I was sold.
I like seeing companies that have history of making cars producing EVs.
Brands like Hyundai(Kia), Toyota(Lexus), Ford.
I like Tesla but they are too cutting edge. Their cars are like spaceships..
They push untested tech and rush(which is a good thing to develop the tech) but people become guinea pigs.
EVs supposed to be simpler. It is battery and the motor.
I think Tesla needs to come up with an even cheaper model otherwise they will
lose to the competition.
China also has EVs called Candy which the premium model cost 20k USD...
At this stage, I trust the usual brands mentioned above more than Tesla.
Government can speed the process up.
For example..
Your rego will increase in the future if you have ICE..
Government grants can be obtained if you want to buy EV similarly first-time home buyers.
I think ICE will be murdered once the EV prices start to really come down and there is reasonable volume of second hand EVs in the market.

Because some people, including me, still "love" them and cars driven by them

EV,s are soul less and will never be "loved" by anyone

Am definitely not a fan of EV.s

Just my humble opinion.
