Just got a notification from Autobarn. They have 5L Gulf Western Oil, Premium Gold Semi-Synthetic 15w-40 on special for $9.99. I'll be heading there tomorrow for the AU.  I will 'cease and desist' posting oil threads  Over and out ..... Last edited by gutza; 03-12-2020 at 01:56 PM. Reason: Meh |

I have been “guilty” of using cheap oils over the years and can say I have not noticed any adverse effects.Oil consumption is neither better or worse,engine doesn’t run or sound any different.I wonder sometimes if there are some brand snobs out there who think that $10-15 per litre oil is better than some 1/4 of that price,but is it really an better?

Agree Tassie. I feel that changing oil regularly (more frequently than Oem recommends) is more important than using high cost oils, but leaving for extended periods.
