Default Cameras on trees and pole.

Hi Guys,

How are you all?
Lately i start to see a lot of small cameras like the size of a small tissue box popping up everywhere and usually on trees in the city and in street lights pole.

Can anyone tell me what camera is that please?
Is that for catching people on the phone?

Thanks.

Some are just for general surveillance, others are to catch dumpers of rubbish.

The phone cameras are directly overhead of the road, below a sign or overpass and are much larger black boxes.

Some would also be cctv for traffic flow management and security.

I was caught holding my phone recently. Camera must have been tree mounted, as the poles were on the other side of the road. Phone was near my knee, but detail captured in photos clearly shows me holding the phone. 80 zone, rural, 5 points! Time for a phone mount

That must have irked you! (I wonder why they don’t bump the fine by $50 and send out a universal mount matched to the vehicle…)

Have seen some transient camera installations that were almost certainly for mapping “rat runs”.

You seen the flat white ones now everywhere that look like speakers with perforated holes on the fact of them.
I believe they are to change the lights for emergence Police etc I believe the flashing of the lights sets them off, it has to do with the flashing sequence that sets them off I believe.

Or maybe I am wrong ?

We have all sorts of cameras everywhere mainly small rounded things on the highways everywhere and just in my street people have their own cameras, one bloke as 8 recording 24/7 he has a shop down the road, he has a TV like that showing it all in the shop and his house. still gets robbed tho and punched by trash at times , people just walking and walk out of the bottle shop down a way as well all the time and the cops can do nothing at all because of the Political Correctness gods lording it over the victims, try to do anything about such people and you will be painted as the monster in court.

Bloke got his motor bike stolen, next door seen it going down called the cops and trash drives off with bike on trailer, cameras everywhere and trash got away with it. by rights how can trash drive by say 50 cameras and get away with such.

This place is like a prison camp with cameras everywhere, the new type of street lights that are that bright that it's like daytime, so the wife closes the curtains and then their is no ****ing breeze so you have to put the ****ing air-con on FFS !

Doubt it would be in a tree. In NSW the mobile mobile phone cameras stand out.
Well if you know what you're looking for they can be spotted from a few hundred metres away. They're sitting on a trailer that looks like road work floodlights.

I would have thought any camera for phone detection must be directly overhead as that is the only way they can see into all corners of the front area of the cabin where phone are being held.

Same with all the media pictures of phone users, all birds eye view pictures.

down here they have changed the incar cameras. the 'new' cameras now sit in the back 'cargo' area with the camera facing rearward [may have one facing the front?].

Highly doubt official cameras would be mounted in trees
