Watching the ABC at the moment, analysts forecast the price to stay hig, Brazil for e.g cant take our place due to supply capacity and Covid

'medium to long term no change

Iron ore projects here in WA are progressing

Milk them as long as we can because once alternative supply is an option they won't give a **** about us.

There are reports about power shortages in China which is concerning. We have no beef with the Chinese people, they have no vote in all of this.

Their unelected CCP government though are a bunch of ****s. Looks like we may be winning the battle at the moment if not the war.

Seems their ambition is being outweighed by their ability to supply simple necessities like electricity...
Some of their population are freezing in the dark

I don't like that ordinary people are copping it over there like here but it seems they are looking like shooting themselves in the foot to spite us. Unlike us they can't vote dickheads out.

I can't say the cabinet reshuffle today fills me with any confidence. If China are not picking up the phone, then get on a ****en plane and knock on the door.

That way you can say you did what you could and the ball is in their court. Should have done it months ago

I personally think it is ridiculous that there seems to have been no contact at all for ages if what has been reported is true. Whatever the tensions that is stupid.

Honestly how do you talk to a belligerent government that is intent on punishing us.

Always try to keep the communication lines open, even if its hostile. The PM, FM and trade minister should at least try knock on the door and so what if don't get an answer. It would be a good use of our RAAF VIP fleet

Any country would see that as a good faith. If they tell them to **** off after coming all that way then we know for sure they have no intent to mend fences.

Yeah they don’t answer so fly there without an invitation? It doesn’t work that way. They don’t care, they don’t think like you do. Nothing short of us bowing to their requests will do. Throw all of our resources behind supporting business building new trading partners. Their entire MO is not compatible with ours.

Be fair to say the Australian government is in constant contact with China but just a matter time when both parties can come to the table with an amicable solution, there would be a lot of communications happening with China and our Australian diplomat staff to resolve this.
