Hmm- people are raiding super for fat surgery for health.

I did not realise until a few days back that my mental health is going downhill by absence of this mid mounted from my garage- does that qualify me on health reasons to raid my super for one?

layout, pricing, (US pricing!), looks, performance, interior, wow!

Holden has a hero car and what a hero car it is...

Maybe they are more committed to RHD with this, after the Acadia/Equinox conversions already done?

I thought the Corvette and the Acadia were built on the same underpinnings.

Wow, this project would have been given the green light at least two years before Holden bit the dust,
and of all the vehicles Holden had to choose from to help rescue the brand, they picked the Corvette.

It's interesting to observe how GM sees the world post Opel, Vauxhall, Holden.

-Prices announced at $149K
-"Allegedly price is up from planned $129K due demand (not Holden closure costs)

Given the Mustang Mach 1 starts at $83k, and there's a nice gap to the Nissan GTR/Porsche, I'm tipping the mid engine V8 will sell all 200 of its annual quota pretty quickly

One things for sure, with the cops and the condition of the roads, I'd sure want access to a front axle lift and a race track...

200 a year? What was the point of making a rhd version?

Given GM has exited RHD markets globally, it is hard to see why they would bother doing so. The potential number of sales in Australia would not warrant the expense. Camaro as not set the market on fire here so doubt a corvette could get sufficient traction even for conversion.

After the initial rush, how many $150k Corvettes do you think they’d move per year? Could be a ploy to keep demand steady?

Two words, Mike Simcoe.

At the moment, US Corvette is seeing significant dealer mark up in the order of USD$10K
so I bet this is the retail end in GMSV cashing in on the way through...

But I wonder if the 200 is just a toe in the water while US production is prioritised.

But at this actual point in time have they actually LOCKED in a factory RHD version for other countries or was this just another GM type furphy.

This GM way of running a business may also have a bearing on any real benefit versus projected sales numbers.
