Wouldn't surprise me if the old meat safe that hung in trees etc wasn't one of ours ..In the days before refrigeration or when many couldn't afford or have necessary access to power to have a fridge .
Has anyone else mentioned road trains too...We're a pretty clever mob given a lot of other inventions already mentioned . |

Halal Snack Pack!
Nothing hits the spot like when its 3AM during a night on the beers and you're stumbling around the city, to be met with the warm, welcoming glow of the 'Kebab' sign and a warm embrace from the friendly Indian man behind the counter to serve you up some processed lamb with chips hidden beneath, in a polystyrene container, smothered in garlic sauce to be consumed with a spork that the finger things bend and snap on, to wake up in the morning with most of it on your shirt https://amp.theatlantic.com/amp/article/521439/ Or 'AB' if you're from Adelaide: https://www.broadsheet.com.au/nation...sion-called-ab Last edited by Franco Cozzo; 28-03-2021 at 09:58 PM. |
