Just some food for thought, the x2 black VN Group A's that were given away are still alive and well looked after, as is the VK Group A/Group 3 that Supercheap gave away
Just saying..

Well if i won it for $30 it would be extremely well looked after for the short period of time i would own it, i would flip it into the auctioneers hands as soon as i got my hands on it.....

I think with the LMCT raffles they offer a cash alternative as often the main prize may be a supercar or in this case an ultra rare vehicle which they acknowledge not everyone who wins is in the position to keep them or care for the vehicles properly.

LMCT is a business which is set up to make good & easy good money out of these auctions.
Same as loads of other "Charity" business. I hope this guy does not win this auction. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-ag4wagpN8 |

each to their own but sorry no blue meanie commodore irrespective of ownership history is worth HALF of that sum. i get that Brocky has owned it but its not like its got 60km on it like the ESP. just my opinion. its a significant car because Peter owned it but not $1 million significant

A) A very rare car in amazing condition just on it's own, and B) Provenance goes a long way with collectors. Provenance sets an item way past another identical item, just like a Caddy once owned by Elvis, or a Roller once owned by Ringo Star. Plus, don't forget bragging rights

Exactly, I imagine the bat carried by Bradman into his unlucky final Test innings, would be worth a fair amount.
The only “special” Holden I’d like to own is the Derwent Bridge Monaro. |

I think you'll find that they're personalised Tassie plates

That is a rare car. They must have only built a handful of those. And looking at it, it's not surprising really.

Yep so's the Nasdaq, the SP500, Australian housing, every other western country's housing; so's crypto, so's art, so's even Pokemon cards - it's as if a bunch of mad nutters printed a whole heap of currency out of nowhere

given brock owned the company and they brought out 1 or 2 new models every year of which petey boy would get one, coz he had to be seen driving round in the latest and greatest, there are an awful lot of "peter brocks personal" cars around.

I won't touch a Brock special if it doesn't have a Polarizer.

I am not sure if you are saying it has the wrong rims but the 15” Irmscher rim was used on the VC as you correctly identified but was continued onto the VH models. The Irmscher was also used on the VK model LM5000 but had some blackouts on it.
Later in the VH build run there was an optional rim the Centra in 16”. |
