Hi all,
I'm trying to think of the name of a movie i saw a few years back. its late '70's/early '80's, and its American. Its about a guy that owns and street races a flat black '55/6 chevy. i've only seen the first 20 or so minutes of it, and theres pretty much no talking at all in that time. from what i saw the story started with this guy and his mate run a few street races, then decide to go interstate. they pick up a young chick on the way thats hitch hiking. On the cover of the video/dvd theres a pic of the three of them standing in front of the chev. Anyone who's seen this movie will know the one. Can anyone tell me what its called?? cheers |

Monty don't wast your time. It would have to be one of the worse films i have ever seen. Mind you i do have it in my DVD collection though. Another one you might like is called hot rod, its about a guy who races a Willy's against the town baddie.

lol i don't want to watch it for its riveting plot BJ
its about the cars and the music. a couple of the boys might be getting together and watching some old-school car flicks, like american graffiti. we re-watched running on empty last week, now theres a crap plot lol.... |

Yeah, I was about to say, ROE has a terrible plot, and terrible acting... *and* they kill a GTHO Phaker.
The 57 Chev however was apparently hard as nails... got for a high 8second pass!

Or Vanishing Point! the original, not the Viggo Mortenson remake...

Route 66 is a good one. The guy has a 57, smashs it, repairs it, smashs it again, then at the end of the movie he drives off in a GTO?? I think, don't quote me on it. It was 15 year ago when i saw it.

Be sure to check out Fast and the Furious. The cars are hardcore, and Vin Diesel's acting deserves a Grammy.

Even though Metal Skin had minimal car content, I loved the Charger vs Oldsmobile AUSCAR (?) dogfight.
And the Torana with the "SEX" plates ("You're history, psycho!") And the "DEATH" Monaro |

Hmmm...
We should make a dodgy E-Series movie! A fictional tale based on true events (or similar). Doesn't need to be well structured. You guys can figure out the plot, I'm going to bed. |
