Agree, but lets not turn this into another EV Thread like every other new idea.

Yes and no. There will still be a market for high end Combustion engines and given they will be making them in Australia, with no climate strategy, they might be able to sell a few to people who don't want electrification. Its a niche play after all.

Isn't europe and USA full of forgettable rich people that think they can make money from building the next super car?
Ask them how this works out - if anyone can remember those companies that became irrelevant.

Tesla Roadster 2022: Range potential, battery and performance
The Tesla Roadster 2022 will feature a 200kWh battery pack that, according to the US manufacturer, will have the potential to offer around 620 miles of range.

However, anyone tapping into the formidable performance potential of the car is unlikely to get anything near that. The powerpack will drive three electric motors – one in the front, two in the rear - which will deliver 10,000 Nm / 7,400 lb ft of torque and enable it to launch from zero to 60mph in 1.9 seconds.

Depends how hard you drive of course, same as a petrol car.

Sorry that link tells me nothing, and sorry I don't fall for the hype of pretty pictures in a brochure

You said better batteries. what better batteries are available?

making such claims and then posting a link to a future Tesla product doesn't make it so
