i don't think most still use the book, or at least a mate who sells porches calls a couple of wholesalers to get a price for the trade in, but on the flip side there is no negotiation, you pay list plus options, he is there to guide you through the process and spec a car correctly

Alright so I'm mid process of buying a car with a private seller, a few SMS and one phone call so far and the deal is done.
Awaiting administration stuff on their end, I'm buying sight unseen and it has no service history/books, I like to live dangerously The fun part is its 150km away and we have a 5km travel restriction. |

Seller is happy to meet me half way but I don't want him running the gauntlet, if I want to that's one thing but I'm not going to rope in a third party into **** they'll get in trouble for - thats reserved for the inner circle |

I think so long as you're not a dick about it and claim that the vehicle is to be used as a permitted work use vehicle I doubt you'd get much more questioning

Come home to my new weapon in my driveway, which was a nice touch tonight.
Bought it sight unseen, never met the owner, spoke to him on the phone twice for about 20 seconds each call then transferred five thousand bucks into his bank account I'll make a new thread in the non Ford section tomorrow. Talk about rolling the dice, I think it'll be an entertaining read, this is why they only let me sign purchase orders up to $500 at work Last edited by Franco Cozzo; 27-08-2021 at 11:01 PM. |
