Hi Folks,
I think the real Ford Federation that Allan Moffat raced was the Falcon that he won Bathurst in 1977 but i could be wrong.

I do believe you are correct, the original Federation Coupe started out back in 1977 as the #1 car which was the "Project Phoenix" XB GT with an XC front clip.

All three in this picture are the same car, which started life as an XB GT..

The car itself has been restored back to it's original 1977 livery and is in The National Motor Racing Museum Bathurst.
