hi i have a ls xr5 turbo witch has been crunching 1 and 2 gear if i hold the clutch in and wait 20 30 seconds it smooth just looking for cheapest fix if one thanks

There are known issues with the 1-2 synchros on the M66W boxes and Ford did replace a few under warranty. As far as I know they are not serviceable at all unlike the MMT6 fitted to other 6-speed models.
There's actually an M66W with a cracked rear housing on E-bay at the moment cheap and if you were comfortable changing over the housing it might be a better option. You could also try changing the oil - Ford recommend Trans Fluid BO-VC specification WSS-M2C200-C3 but some of the Euro guys have used a full synth equivalent with success.

ok thanks for that info i have just changed oil and a little better was thinking of using some additive to see wot happens and just wondering if any one knows how to fix the odometer it reads 999999 thanks

You'd need access to IDS or another scanner that can program the cluster. Any scan tool will be able to read the correct mileage as it's stored but very few can change it.
You can try disconnecting the battery for awhile and see if the cluster reads back the correct value.
