I've been umming and ahing a about getting one for ages... i've just tonight purchased this one after asking the seller a heap of questions.

"Tesla Style Vertical Screen Android 9.0 Car DVD GPS Radio Navigation Stereo Audio Player For Ford Mondeo Fusion MK5 2013-2019"
https://a.aliexpress.com/_mM6bs1C

I have a 2015 Mondeo with SYNC2 so ordered the "12.1 inch SYNC2 H" version and paid an extra $28 to get the 64GB version instead of 32GB.

Says its expected to arrive early to mid January.

Did you end up getting one yet?

I was pretty disappointed to be honest.
It was really glitchy. It would just randomly change audio sources, the radio would would kick out .5 randomly.

I took the screen protector off and I then couldn't see the screen during the day while wearing polarised sunnies. Couldn't put the screen protector back on without bubbles and there isn't anything available to replace it.

The kicker though is that I didn't use my car for a couple of days and the unit drained my battery. Had to get a new one because it was the original and once it was drained it wouldn't hold a charge. So that was another $350 on top of what I paid for the unit
I think most of the glitchy stuff can be fixed with custom firmware which is widely available and the "standby" mode can be switched off but it is too much stuffing around for me especially since I can't see the damn thing during the day.

I just put the original sync 2 unit back in.
Overall would not recommend...

Where did you get yours from? Was it one that still allowed you to use SYNC2?
