Hi I had the harmonic balancer on my Mondeo fail the other day. The car has 220000 km on it.
Is this an unusual fault. Could it be a symptom of another problem. Aaron |

The likely answer is no to both questions. It's a part that can fail like any other so as long as it didn't cause other damage when it failed (and they can) it's not indicative of anything.
