How does the transmission control unit effect the exhaust note?
I don’t know how many aspects to the test there are, but i know one test involves getting the vehicle up to a set speed and then putting it into neutral and coasting between 2 set points. This test highlights tyre noise. I assume there must be another part of the tests that require a drive by at a set rpm and gear ratio? Not sure how a gearbox tune could affect this if the test requires a set ratio. |

From the headline of the story ..""Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon rival may fall foul of Australian law due to excessive noise levels"" Here I am thinking the Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon were no more. How the heck can the thing be a rival of something that no longer exists? That's like saying the Janome F206 is a rival to my grandmother's pedal powered Singer.

Wonder if this one is under recall. Seems a lot louder than the Commodore V8
