Default Business goals

Hi everyone

As you’s may know am still enjoying the deli work until such time, however at some point wish to start own part time business.

Am waiting until the deli changes owners and no idea how long it’ll be.

Am giving it till owners 60th to see what happens and if they’re still there may just look to work into the secondhand side.

Do you’s think it’d be a good idea to plan now even if you don’t do anything for a long time as probably won’t last more than 4 years and it’ll probably take atleast that long to come up with something.

The owner is great and has nothing to do with anything, only lasted this long because of them, it’s also the industry and it had gotten harder since 2020 but do you lot think they’ll call it at some point or is it up to you to do something.

Am happy enough with current job until such time and only hanging on because of owner, do have business goals and wish at some point to reach them

Is your part time business idea something you can start now?

Can you get the ball rolling on the weekends? After hours? 1 day a week if you took off 1 day from your regular job?

Remember that many people in business started very small or as a side gig to their main income till it was profitable enough to be their full time job.

You often hear 'they started selling out of the boot of their car' or 'They were using their parents garage at the start' etc.

What has the deli owners changing hands got to do with your future business ideas?

Are you worried you will be fired? Are you planning on taking it over or going into partnership with a new owner?

It means that when the deli changes owners which could be anytime that will be doing something else and just waiting till right time and hanging on because of them.

Everything going ok at moment just prepared the deli eventually will change owners and you never know when that’ll be and planning ahead as may not last more than 4 years and it’ll probably take that long anyway and if they’re still there will be looking to only work in secondhand side.

Just waiting until the right time to get out of hospitality and do something else.

Can see why people are leaving the industry since 2020

Moving your business online does not require any kind of warehouse, inventory, transportation vehicles, or staff. The shift is so smooth that all you have to do is sell the same product that you sell at your offline store to a wide base of customers. I decided to

hi everyone

if someone offers jobs what are professional ways to decline them wether you want to move to a different industry or you want to stay where you are for example someone buying someones business and wants to keep you on when youre ready to get out and into a different industry.

what is professional way to decline that particular offer.

could you say thanks for the offer but.......

could you just take it for now while you are still planning a way out to just get money while you keep looking and planning.

if theres nothing wrong with taking particular job for now while you keep looking and planning how do you gracefully and professionaly move on when you finally come up with what youre after, how long would you have to stay in that job.

would like to have the weekends free and a better work life balance.

with handyman work what will insurance likely cost a year if you even need insurance.

what about test and tag, what would insurance likely cost.

what other part time jobs are there and if starting part time business, what other things can you do part time.

how easy would it be in the copper coast/yp area to find jobs and start part time businesses.

just looking for ideas to keep in mind and be open to what happens

Maybe take the job if it's for more money?

if you do end up taking it and you do same as you are for now until you find something else or to supplement your business until you get too much work for your business to stay in other one how long would you have to stay.

have heard of people starting businesses and taking something to supplement their business on quiet times until they get consistent work and too much to stay on or taking something while they work towards their goal.

If you choose to stay on for now what would be a professional way to ask if it would be a problem to just concentrate on the secondhand and treasures items
