Wheel powder coater perth

Any of you perth guys/gals know a good wheel powder coater in perth that you have used previously?
Theres so many i have no idea who to go to.
Getting my fg snowflakes done.

Prices from around 110-120 per wheel up to 190 per wheel at one place!
Never had wheels powdercoated before,what are you guys paying around the rest of aus?

That sounds on the money for Sydney, you’re bringing in bare (tyre-less) wheels without any damage?

Pretty sure that's what alliance rim repairs charge per rim to refurb, I would use them over a powder coater

Im not a fan of alliance rim repair,had a couple of sets of their refurbed wheels over the years,paint was chipping off on the way home,pretty sad for what they charge.
They quoted me nearly 200 per rim to do my sprint 16s many years ago,that was just paint too,last time i went there and i never went back.
So yeah ill steer well clear of them

The range; one-off I’d expect to pay the higher end, a set of four/five cleaned of soot etc (ready for stripping/prep and coating) the lower end of that.

I found a lace in Melbourne that will do it for $50 per rim, wheels need to be delivered with no tyres or valve weights etc.

I'm just never going to get around to doing it as I use the car every day.

Much the same experience with alliance, great at repairing wheels but not so good at painting them.
I use Southside powdercoaters in O'Connor, I drive from Yanchep to use them, been going there for years, good quality work and never had to take anything back.

I'd have a rethink if I was you.

Powder coating means the wheels will have to be roughly sanded so the coating sticks meaning their natural look will be screwed. But that's also a big if as any small later damage will mean the coating will ultimately lift off as air gets under these sections.

It then means it will be a bitch to clean it all off for recoating and it will look crap.

It would be much wiser to get them painted as any damage can easily be patched and blended in etc and you could even do small patch ups yourself using paint such as Dupli Color.

I had my ute side boxes and guards powder coated but it lifted in places and I had to blend them and match paint these sections. They will just be painted in future.

They are sand blasted then primed and then powdercoated and come out as smooth as glass,not sure who powdercoated your rims in the past but ive never heard of rough sanding and then powdercoating to leave a rough finish?
Nobody would pay for that.
If your powdercoating is lifting it wasnt done correctly in the first place.
Considering everyone uses the exact same brand powders and process the price differences are pretty big,southside were the most expensive at up to 200 per rim.

You obviously didn't comprehend what I posted. I've never had rims powder coated nor would I ever consider it.

But in any event unless the various surfaces to be coated are sanded usually with an air sander the coating won't get a good bond and no it still makes for a smooth finish.

No, unfortuntaely you didnt comprehend what i said,you dont roughly sand the rims you sandblast them,then prime and then powdercoat,maybe you should have read my first post a bit better then we wouldnt be in this position

I wasnt asking for advice on if i should paint or powdercoat,i wanted to know about people who have had rims powdercoated and who they used,you tried to talk me out of powdercoating with incorrect advice.

Dude, FFS what are you smoking. I was just suggesting you may want to have a rethink as powder coating rims has its pitfalls nothing else and show me where I recommended anyone and also my so called reference to Southside powder coaters who I've never even heard of.

But don't worry as I've made a mental note to never endeavour to assist you with anything again as mate you are correct as you do have a major problem.
