Centre console only?
4 screws down near the seatbelt anchors, two horizontal and two vertical. Vertical screw holes are accessed from inside the console bin. Remove your auto fascia and T-bar knob first. Pull diagonally up & out, and remember that you've got loom wire under there (for the rear vent light and presumably your Power button if you've got an auto). -Dave- |

hahahaha i have an eb, so the handbrake(parkbrake) is next to the steering wheel, so its the lighter grey bit of dash i need to take out that souround the dark plastic surround for the cd player, it goes from the glove box to the steering wheel.

You dont need to take it out completely, just unbolt it and let it flop down. Theres two nuts that attaches it to under the dash, and another two or three at the firewall.

I want to replace that section on my car as well. Years ago, when my pranged the car, my knee went straight into the dash, cracking that section. I'm also interested to see how that bit can come out. I'm wondering, if you just unscrew the handbrake handle, is the cable going to pull through the dash?

Nah the rest of it will be still attached at the point it goes through the firewall, and underneath the car.
Ive pulled my whole dash out and just did what I said to do above, thats all you need to do.
