Hey, I've got the 'limited transmission function' problem occurring when the transmission is cold (usually goes away once it's warm, and I treat it gently). Hoping to get an idea of how much to fix it, but would rather a transmission specialist who would be able to get to the crux of the issue quickly. Any recommendations in Melbourne, preferably near the inner west?

We used Ringwood Automatics when the ZF 6 speed my son's BF2 started playing up.
They were recommended to us by a neighbour that's spent his life in the industry. They sorted the issue without resorting to a full rebuild. We're in Werribee, but the freeways are pretty good...

J.Pringle Automotive
110-120 Dynon Rd, West Melbourne VIC 3003 They specialise in Power Shift DSG Mondeo gearboxes. I have used them twice for servicing and have found their professionalism and pricing superb. Ford dealers use these guys to do their repairs! Could be a few things if you have the software forscan and adapter to read the codes or it could be time for a service. Buy 2 x Penrite 4L DCT oils and a genuine oil filter for the DSG gearbox. Supply your own parts to Pringle Automatics and have them price the labour only to do the service while they have it for diagnosis, as usually you'll find it will need a service if you haven;t done one? Hope this helps. |
