Doing it yourself = impossible
Getting it professionally done = easy Have wrapped a couple of cars myself, none have had complicated shapes, so it was pretty easy, we have a guy who comes and does our wrap repairs at work, he makes it look as easy as breathing, getting the wrap to stretch and contour to shapes I would not even attempt. |

What would be the potential cost to get a ute wrapped?

for a good job, 2.5-4k. After seeing some really dodgy wraps i'd rather pay the extra and get a respray.

Still seems very expensive for a wrap. have you seen vids of the Supercars being wrapped. only takes a few hours. I know consumables would be expensive but I think they are price gouging.

7.5k - 10k is the going rate for a good closed door respray.

Ever tried to take off an old wrap?, a lot easier to burn the car.
Had the misfortune to buy a Smartie that was wrapped for a Chemist since new, the bits that didnt see much sun were ok, the bits that copped the sun came off a pin head at a time and left the cement like glue behind, it took me a few months doing a bit each weekend and then had to soften the glue with petrol and prepsol. Never again. |
