Default Vale Jeff Beck

Musician and car nut.

One of those events which makes you feel old, having followed the work of a person for decades - and suddenly, they’re dead at 78.

Funny you should post that up, soon as I read the news my inbuilt music library put on Blow by Blow.

Bit of the car side here, from 2016: https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/...beck/89026794/

More so bacterial meningitis. There are two types: viral and bacterial. According to the Aus government's Health Direct website, "bacterial meningitis is a medical emergency. It can kill within hours, so early diagnosis and treatment is vital."

Yeah I meant in the weeks leading up to whats happened.
He was pretty active, doing that recent project with Depp and playing on Ozzys latest album.

I've got Truth and Beck-ola spinning here this arvo.
Such a unique playing style, nobody sounds like him.

all the best Beck videos are Tal videos

but seriously , who remembers the early days of internet radio? There was a station out of the UK that would stream 12 or 24 hours a day by a single artist at a time. I had a program called ripcast that could record streams from up to 8 stations at a time and I filled a DVD with jeff beck music with that program.
The station started with the earliest stuff they could find and just laid down track after track . I think it was called oxfordshire oldies or something like that.

They were broken up by commercials and DJ talking but I ran all of it through an audio editor and snipped out most of the chatter and resaved the songs.

I think most of the stuff predated the tour he did with Tal , it was probably 2002 or 2003 . Internet radio stations didn't last much beyond that

Jeff Beck was a huge car guy and didn't mind the odd 32 Ford.....

Part of Jeff's car collection...
