Default BF Mark 2.5

Ok guys and gals, big debate here. Did Ford produce the BF Mark 2.5 or was it just what people called it? I'm pretty sure it's what people decided to call it because I can't find any info even from Ford themselves.

It does exist, it's the differently styled bodykit called the "aggressor", that had grey inserts in the side skirts, front and rear bars on XR models. I'm assuming it also included equipment changes across the range.

Here's a pic of what it looked like. Disregard this Rebel model for NZ as we never saw it here.

I think the updates for 2.5 were mostly visible on the XR's.

The 2.5's also received dual climate control. The Centre dash layout looks like the Fairmont/Ghia.

I'm not sure if premium sound was standard or not. As others have stated the XR's got a slightly difference body kit.

I have an 08 mk2 fairmont ghia and im pretty sure its the same as any earlier mk2 ghia. Maybe the 07 update xr's got a few other bits more then restyled bumpers and side skirts. It is pretty easy to visually spot an 07 update xr. They just arent very common to see.

The november 07 xrs are easy to spot. Ba through bf2 all look very similar exept the trim around the foglights.

Rednose on here had a white 2.5 from memory. There’s a thread on it somewhere.

The BF MK "2.5" was not what Ford officially called these models, nor did they reference it as "Aggressor". However, both terms have become normalized over the years to represent the late styling changes on XR sedans to entice buyers in the lead up to the FG Falcon. Styling changes were limited to XR sedans only.

These updated BF MK II XR sedans were available from November 2007 production and included -

- Modified front bumper with accent coloured mini-rockers.
- New side skirts with accent colour.
- New lower rear bumper insert with accent colour.
- Rear view mirrors in accent colour.
- High gloss mid argent coloured shadow chrome 18'' alloys for XR6 with the 6-speed auto, XR6T & XR8.

Someone mentioned dual-zone climate control, that was actually introduced as standard on XR6 6 speed auto, XR6T and XR8 from July 2007. This included premium (Fairmont) ICC, dual zone climate control, premium sound with colour TFT screen. XR6 6A also included 18-inch wheel. The 4-speed auto and 6 speed manual XR6 continued with 17-inch wheels and base ICC.
