Default Aerpro navigation

recently upgraded the media section in the wifes Subaru, thiswas a new Pioneer box, all the wirig etc plus the Aerpro AMHXD3 navigation. This little module is still unconnected and I am totally confused how the dam thing works.

Has anyone fitted the same to another vehicle.

What I understand it connects via USB port, it will work in with your existing head unit GPS giving you the added benefit of 4wd off road maps, surprised the installer did not fit it, if it came with your head unit package.
