Guys i been a car buff since my brother used to take me as a 9 year old to the old A.I.R (pre Adelaide 500 by 50 years) to watch his beloved Alan Moffat take the toranas on.
As an avid push bike rider, i spend half of my life at riding on the roads, next to cars and of course waiting at the traffic lights. what you don't get sitting in your car at the same lights is the eery silence when an electric car takes off. the other day, 4 in a row past me all different makes and it dawned on me that all those cheesy 70,s science fiction movies depicting the future had truly arrived into every day life. but.....for the old school guys like me a decent v8 or turbo 6 still can raise a smile when i hear them going up the hill i live on. my road is the 'unofficial Adelaide 500 road' and these guys are at it 24/7. (and the mbike guys too) i still get to enjoy the old world cars (sounds) but it going to get shaky probably 5 years from now.
