I cant see the $70 per hour, once you add holiday pay, sick leave, superannuation, overheads etc to it, you are making nothing per hour, unless you are ripping people off, then its a fine business model

The place I work if you wanted $70 per hour you would have to make the business $400 per hour, I cant see that happening anytime soon

If you simply using this forum for the sole purpose to recruit, then that will have to stop also.
Surprised you have not acted by shutting down a scam topic.

It's highly unusual, however Hays recruitment is currently throwing out bait with similar hourly figures for auto tradies.

I suspect this is for a local mine though.

Hi Mate, It's not a scam at all; probably not the best way to go about this.
I'm open to ideas?

The upper end is the total rate.

Maybe stop posting only in this part of the forum, get into the general workshop area and offer some expert advice to fellow forum members needing it first would have been a good way.

Offering your services as an option then and then only go headhunting.

For all we know you could be AI, like Franco.

Warwick, I admire your determination, but I think you just need to get your applicants the old fashion way and advertise a vacancy, where those who are looking for a Mechanical job will apply, you are flogging a dead horse here

Going rate for mechanics and auto elecs in the Pilbara now non mine site is $70-80/hr plus allowances if any.
Some mobs are casual some are full time.
84hr weeks on offer, do the sums it’s not too bad every pay day.

Recruitment mob has put two Zimbabweans in with us charging us $80/hr so I’d hate to think how much they’re being short changed but I guess their visa arrangement has them by the balls.
Still, they work harder than most of the useless lazy entitied white ****s on the floor who take everything for granted and still like to have a whinge about it.
