Starter Motor

Due to the ridiculous cost of fuel im trying to get an xf i got for nothing going because its on gas.
It turns over very very slowly and when it finally starts the yellow wire from the positive terminal to the alternator is getting hot. Can anyone help me with these problems please? |

Sounds like your starter motor is rooted and your alternator might be pumping too much voltage into the battery.
