Seeking help from the Holden parts number gurus, please. Unfortunately no pictures right now. Rear bumper, small overriders either side of number plate recess.
GM part number 92042648 - couldn’t see any moulding dates. Looks like maybe VL, but I could only find clear pictures of aftermarket rear bumpers. |

My parts book doesn’t go up that far. Hopefully you can get a picture soon.

Could it be a VR caprice, putting the same numbers with 00 on the end instead of 48 comes up with Caprice parts

Looks spot on, even the same colours.
I’ll likely see it again Wednesday arvo - it’s just sitting in a paddock near Windsor. Scrap or do they have “core value”. |

Pretty sure the bumper is just a standard VR, the number plate section is cut in, cant remember if its bolted, screwed or clipped?

It looks like a factory two piece assembly, there’s a neat line of rusty fasteners inside.

Rear boot garnish could be worth a few $$$ (if uncracked).

Yeah from factory it would be neat as they have the dies to do it, but you will find that replacement bumpers would come as the standard bar and you had to cut the hole and fit the number plate surround, we still have to modify parts on some manufacturers vehicles, I suupose it streamlines the manufacturing process.
