BA's sold very well with allot of different models. Still a nice looking car and the interiors were done well. You don't have to use touch screen like modern cars. If looked after they still drive really good especially on long trips.

The XR6T was popular for straight line speed and mods. The turbo six was a very interesting motor. I wonder how it compares to BMW turbo six (I haven't driven one)?

look at the Holden chart and the direction it plunges upon introduction of alloytec in VZ

Yes, that stands out, but why does the Falcon line go down at the same time. It was mid-BA.

The sales figures for Holden and Ford sedans took a dive because that was the time or tipping point when many people switched from the family sedan to a SUV. Most of the Territory sales would have been replacing sedan sales.

There was more to it.
Fleets stopped purchasing local vehicles, Governments no longer had a requirement to purchase local vehicles, companies stopped buying cars for their employees and instead they leased them themselves (which gave them a greater choice of Camry, Magna, Falcon or Commodore) greater competition from overseas with reduced tarrifs.
Could go on and on
