Default What brand Alternator to buy

There are many for sale on ebay for varying prices..
Are "Jaylec" just a rebranded chinese made cheapy?
Same as "Auto8" in Wangaratta?
How will I know if it is a quality item or not?

Jaylec is Cooldrive Distribution in house brand and its trash, its the ones I had the most warranty returns on,

OEX isn't bad as a Chinese cheapy replacement, they're NAPA's own in house brand.

Personally I'd stick to OEM brands like Bosch/Valeo/Marelli et al, not worth saving $20 to fit some Chinese piece of shit to the car.

Auto8 in Wang gives you a choice genuine Bosch or cheaper.

Wouldn't want to be up for a Merc/BMW one mind.
