Temp is high most of the time - they run a high pressure colling system and even on a cool day like today it will sit above 180C. Probably explains why the guys in the States install 180 degree thermostats to replace the 195 that is fitted stock.

nICE RIDE........gee 569nm is a bit of a worry, HSV will have an easier time pulling that from an LS2 then FPV will with the BOSS290.

Theres no reason why Ford can't include such features on the BF. A little tweeny bit of programming is all it takes and it could be shown on the ICC in glorious colour.
Oil pressure, Oil temp, coolent temp, revs, tyre pressure, Revs, speed, G f/b l/r, etc. They sure look brutal. Im sure ford and holden are going to have to react. But with what? Some sort of Typhooned engined Fairmont Ghia (and Fairlane Ghia), with upgraded audio, interior, bodykit, classy 19" wheels, Territory turbo brakes, heated seats, Xenon lights, etc. But oh no, it will be the BF Fairlane Sportyman with distinctive sportsman badging and Falcon Classic alloys. |

The mesh grille is already on the way - the standard one is about the only visual aspect I don't like.

Why is it being called "Aussie Chrysler V8"?
ITs and American car or UStrian or South African or wherever its built. US designed by US owned company. Built o/s and sold here. Its no more an Aussie V8 then a Porsche Ferrari or any other imported car. Yes Chrysler used to build cars in OZ, but they sold out to Mistsubishi. Theres no chrysler left in Aust. Other companies used to build in Aust, VW, Nissan, Renault, BMC, Rambler .. others. Do we still think they are somehow an "aussie company"? --- But i DO think the 300C SRT8 is a great car, and woud tempt me if i was in the GT-P market. |
