Hi Guys/ Gals.
This weekend (Sunday 14) is the next Speed Event at Baskerville Raceway near Hobart. On behalf of the organisers, I extend the invitation to all interested persons to come along and take a look. Even if you choose not to race, it is still some fun watching others going hard on the circuit.... Baskerville is a VERY challenging little track that is quite hard to get around consistantly quick (well for me in my purple cab anyway) and is definitely going to test the throttle control and skill of any driver. There are good sized runoffs for the over enthusiastic (as I have previously validated !), and cars are gridded up so as to minimise the chance of rubbing panels. (Very good !!!!) Back straight expect to see 190 odd KMPH before the sweeper............. ye ha !!!!!!!! More info can be found on the mini tas web site www.minitas.org.au/events.php. Cost is less than one speeding ticket, and they give you as many laps as you and your car can handle. I did 28 last event, some guys did closer to 40 ! Come on you Hobart based Ford enthusiasts, get out there on Sunday for a look ! I was the only competitor last event with a Ford V8, hell, I had the only Falcon there !!!!! NOT GOOD ENOUGH.... we need to stamp our authority !!! Where's all the other XR's and FPV's ??? And regarding warranty................. boo hoo, boo hoo. If that's a concern, dry your eyes, remove you number plates and enjoy your car for it's intended function. (No offence intended, and I say this very tongue and cheek) I GUARENTEE there will be NO dealership spies........... no one working at the local dealer is enthusiastic enough to go to a weekend track day ! Hope to be one of many fast Falcs on Sunday........ Best regards
