Default AFF's space-time continuum

Long time reader of the site support forum, first time poster. Im not sure if my observations are common - if so, please let me know and i'll slap myself in the back of the head for you.

What i see occasionally is thus...

I use the new posts page alot. However, sometimes on the new posts page, it will show a recent post in a thread... which is actually not recent at all. I have some pictures to explain this.

See the attached "example 1". This shows a reply being posted in this thread at 3:39pm.

But upon opening the thread - i see what is captured in the attached "example 2". This shows the actual reply as being psoted at 1:30pm.

Nothing too upsetting... just interesting... thought maybe there is a rational explanation? I see this quite often...
