73MTU, did the computer upgrade fix the problem?

We're looking at buying a Focus and this issue is not making it look very attractive at the moment.

Cheers

I've had my 06 zetec for three days now, the second night I had it I left it running on a mildly steep incline whie showing it to friends. After about 6-7 minutes the car started chugging and then stalled... It started again but continued chugging and stalled again, even when given a little accelerator...
I rolled it back onto the level, it started fine and ran fine. Not good of a new car though...

don't you mean it appears improved - not fixed?

Good to hear you've found a helpful dealer.

At least your car starts! : On a straight anyway...

Obviously your start issues seem to be a deliemma with the Fuel Pump... Shouldn't Ford have fixed it by now? What does the ECU have to do with it? I'm guessing an ECU wouldn't know when the car is on an incline....

My car (not a Focus though) is having difficulties starting (without being on an incline though).

They have looked at the:
- Fuel Pump
- TDC Sensor
- ECU
- Coil Pack
- Starter Motor
- Battery

Something you might want to consider...
