Default XR Bar + Driving Lights

Hey guys,

I'm a few weeks away from having an ELXR front put on the EF. At the moment I've got my fairmont bar which has the housing for cornering lamps which I love! However the XR bar doesn't. I've noticed other ELXR's like Yagz's and Steveo's manage to fit some kind of driving lights in there. In Steveo's case it actually looks like the cornering lamps have been fitted in there some how. Has anyone or does anyone know of anyone that has fitted driving lights in the spaces available on an ELXR front bar?

Any help would be great.

Cheers,
Michael

Steveo's car does have fairmont cornering lamps in his EL XR vents, and i'm still to this day not sure how it was done.

the ones in Stevo & Leah's are are mounted at the back of the 'vents'
they are the NF/NL cornering lamps, not sure how they're mounted, i imagine Stevo would know as the bar was recently replaced.

I think he ground away some of the inside of the hole at the back to get them to fit??

I have some Narva ones (I think) in my EL XR6...looks half decent. Can't find any good photos of them though, these are what I have...

Think it look's a bit over the top personally, 6 Light's just a bit to much, might look cool if you kept the vent's in and just put coloured mood light's in instead, hard to say untill you see it.

Hey, i tried to take some pics but there isnt much room under there to poke a camera (without removing the inner guards).
The lights mount onto a bracket, which is then bolted onto the re-bar.
They might be similar to actuall fairlane brackets, im not sure, as i havent seen any before lol.

so.. here is a terrible illustration to try and give you an idea.

The acutal hole in the bonnet is smaller on the XR than Fairmont, so that would need to be modified or cut into to help fit the lights?

Do you mean the bumper ? If so, then yeah it needs to be shaved a bit to fit the light up snug. All depends if you want the light behind it, or through the hole ie fairlanes

Righto. Do you have any close up shots of the foggies in your bar at all or can you take a few of either side so I've got something to give to the panel beater in terms of ideas?
