Default Series 2 to Series 3 change over month

Bit of a statistical question. I was just wondering when the changeover month for the AU2 to AU3 was?. I was under the impression it was in October 01.

Yes,

There is alot of confusion with Models.

04/00 Was when Series II was introduced, including Fairlane and Utes.

10/01 Was when Series III Sedans and wagons were introduced. Utes and Fairlanes Came in during Feb 02, i had a 11/01 XR6 VCT ute and it was stamped AUII, but had the Dotmatrix windscreen and Series III indicators.

There could however be some 09/01 Series IIIs around I think, ive seen a Fairmont that was sept comp and an AU III, but ive seen an AUII with 10/01.. Confusing yes!
