to run methanol?
i can get methanol for around 96 cents a litre and basically an endless supply. when you consider 96 cents for methanol and $1.33 for crap REGULAR unleaded, dunno why i am using premium. anyway, legalities aside, what parts need to be changed in the xr8? fuel lines? cats? injectors? retune? just thought i should find out before i took the plunge and changed over. |

im curently doing this conversion to my weekender (hardly driven). THeres a load u need to do to make the most out of it..
so fair im up for. 2. bosch 984 fuel pumps 6 bosch indy injectors 1000cc+ Replace all fuel lines, Carter electric hi flow lift pump, And lastly upping the compresion. U use about 2.2 times the amount, thats why the fuel system has to be so over kill., its defently not suitable for a daily car, or one youre even going to drive on weekends. THe engine oil requires changing heaps more oftern due to the amount of water that builds up in the sump from the fuel . AS far as methanol on an AU....... FORGET IT |
