Gday Narrele. Would be interested to know what this club is. Do they have internet site, or stickers on thier cars? So is it for just late models and XR's, or Ford in general?

Cheers.

P.S I liked the display at the Lara Heritege Festival. Pick up any prizes there?

they are called the xr and fpv club of geelong but do also welcome any ford owners. they are working on a website and sponsers at the moment. the club is having a run to heathcote on sunday and the next one is on the wueens birthday weekend

thanks for the comment about the heritage show
we won two prizes, top 5 winner and best 6 cyl street vehicle and just missed out on best display, coming second to the crx airbrushed thing that was there

the club actually took out best club display

the club does have stickers which were designed by fpv design team

they also meet once a month at the sphinx, the second thursday of the month

i am also a new member to the xr and fpv car club of Geelong and they would welcome new members anytime. the great thing is that there is no cost to join and you never feel pushed into going to all the functions, drives etc. i did enjoy my first show 'n' shine at Lara a few weeks back and was even more surprised when i got runner up in the standard falcon class!! hope to see you soon.

Congrats Jamie and Narelle.
Funny story about that day. Me and my mate were walking past the LS1 display and a bunch of Holden blokes admiring each others cars. I said to my mate quite loudly, "Geeze, is that piston slap I hear?"
Im glad they got the joke, because i cant run that fast.
