You cannot "hoon" at the legal drags. You can push ur car up the 1/4 mile, or u can goto the skid pan. However - when they say that u have done enough skidz for one outing they tell ya to get the f*k off their property.
I remember at Sandown, the drivers wanted to go untill their tires blew the hell up. Unfortnunantly for the spectators and the drivers; the officials kept telling the vehicle to get off the track. Fair enough, rules are rules - but I didnt pay my attendance fee to see people get kicked off the track.

As for josh copping flack for 'hooning'. 'Hooning' is wrong. As I said earlier - everyone on this forum has done it once and a while, yet EFGIAR has copped more flack on this forum than anywhere else. Partly because he promotes his feats, also because he dont know when to stop somtimes, but thats the storey of a lot of people here.

C'mon guys, hooning is hooning. You're caught, you're punished. There's no need to try & "defend" hooning. And no, I'm not a pious driver who only drives (slowly) to church on Sunday, but that's not my point.

The point is, uhh (lost my train of thought when thinking of the hot little blonde I asked to lunch today : ), let's stick to Sunny's part of the thread. Which isn't about hooning, and isn't about cops. It's about the rogue cop abusing him and damaging his car.

In the above case, perhaps you were minding your own business, and the officer in question was completely out of line with his antics.
Look at the incident from the other side for 1/2 a second, and you will possibly see things in a different light.
The police were responding to reports of 'hooning' & the like.(from sounds of things a regular occurance on cruises with this particular club) They turn up after the culprits have already fled, with a few 'peers' attempting to depart the scene as well. As a member of the general public, I would certainly hope they WOULD speak with members of the club to sort things out (like it or not it is their job).
When the officer was asking questions, did you pass on the names / number plates of those that actually CAUSED the confrontation with the police in the first place? (the ones responsible for the police targeting 'innocent?' drivers)Will you be passing details of these idiots onto ACA? or TT? Would the burnouts still have taken place if not for the 'safety in numbers' mentality offered by this clubs cruise?
How bout taking some responsibility for what happened, speak with ya feet, & refuse to attend 'cruises' that are frequented by idiots. Never know may save you the hassles of the police singling YOU out for attention in the future.
if it was me i wouldn't be telling them squat...Its not my job to do that...if i didn't anything wrong then i shouldn't have to help them out for me guilty by association...the cops can do it the hard way

ive met cool cops..but they were still fining me and i have never had a cop do anything nice in my favour

What a brilliant attitude mate.

Please can we have someone clean this thread (including this post) and leave all the good stuff relating to advice & info for Sunny?

Well, I would view it as doing the club a service if I were to warn other club members after being caught up in something like that.

I am not a naturally authorative (sp?) person, but I am not being a keyboard warrior here either. All I was saying was wulos has the right idea, and your views are in complete contrast.

But I spose it's dog eat dog for some.

http://www.dragtag.com.au/

It's a virtual drag racing setup that utilises multiple dynos and a massive projection screen. You actually thrash your car and drive "into" the screen.

It's a mix between reality and the virtual world. Looks bloody awesome!

Gozza, we probably should have done this by PM. I agree with the rest of your post, but that last line was out of order.

Feel free to PM me if you'd want to continue this.

***Ghia5L hands the thread back to other users

Thanks for the PM. The report probably was excessive (as stated in my reply PM), so my apologies if it impacts on your forums membership/posting abilities.

Sunny - I spoke to my friend he said you will need a witness, the only problem is unless hes done it to a fair few people, they generally remember who they did it to, and once u complain about them they will go out of their way to pull you over ect. But if your not going up that way again it wont matter, But yeah you need a witness or 2, because then its your word agaisnt them.

Everyone else - Dragtag is awsome, iv only raced a few times on a track, and a few times on this getting a 13.68 in my friends car, its close to real life cause the car has ran a low 13... best of all its legal

I will be a witness mate. I was in that road block (white Vl)and did a uturn to go home cause i didnt know what was going on! I got abused as well. I have also spoken to ESD and have written up a letter that i havent yet sent cause i needed a few more people to make it viable. The only problem i have is that i didnt get the cops name, that was abusing me, only what he looked like (black hair) and i know he was the driver of the sedan cop car.
If you want a copy of my letter and my girlfriend as a witness then feel free to ask. I have never been spoken to in such a way by anyone in a place of authority. And to all those people putting him down, unless you were there you have no place to comment.

I am not accusing you of doing anything wrong Sundeep.(rereading my posts it doesn't read quite as clearly as I had thought it when I originally typed it) This incident with this particular cruise does not appear to be an isolated one (appears to be a common theme with that 'club')
What I am saying is that people can learn from what has happened to yourself as a result of attending a run that could / should have been a bit better behaved. My point - don't cruise with a club that is known for trouble on their cruises. I posted suggestions here that may help prevent others from having to deal with the crap that you have gone through.

A club can only do so much it is up to the people who attend to show some maturity and not do it around people.

Without hijacking this thread (if people wanna discuss this, we'll start a new thread - will keep this one on track with Sundeep & the unwarranted attention he received)
My 'providing info to the cops' was an attempt to 'sift out the Wallies' as you describe it. The police have a tough, and often thankless job to perform (way I see it, if I can help em out then that's my way of saying thanx for doing a job I would be unprepared to do myself - ie I'm not cut out for the job as a cop, I'd end up shooting someone I think)
In answer to your second question - I don't actually HAVE ANY family ties with the police. I have been on the receiving end of criminal acts & if not for the assistance of the police AND caring members of the public ('witnesses' etc) then I would've been left even MORE bitter & twisted then I already am.

A formally recognized / affiliated club, has a public obligation to ensure that their constituents behave in a publicly acceptable manner. Depending upon the club setup the board members themselves can be held legally liable for irresponsible acts carried out by members, during club events(ie bad behaviour on a club cruise).
*getting off track here - start a new thread, or take it to pm*
